A bitter heart…a reluctant betrayal
Trust does not come easy for Laird Callum Roberts, a Celtic warlock. While hunting a sorceress who captured his father, he comes across a mysterious lass on a sacrificial alter. Enchanted by her beauty and sensuality, there is something amiss with the secret maiden.

Is she just another deceiving woman or can he trust his cynical heart to see her innocence?

Exiled and shunned by her clan, Lady Alayne Duncan finds herself blind and at the mercy of a dark sorceress. To save her little sister, she has no choice but to commit a vile sin against a warlock. However, Alayne cannot deny the desire of her heart and body as she yearns for his erotic touch. The more time she spends with the warlock, the more she loathes the treachery. Can she forsake the warlock for the life of her sister?

Reviewer Arianne from Night Owl Romance
This is Book #3 of a story that continues to each book and I have not read the previous two books so this review covers only this book. There are two things you need to know about this book. One witches and warlocks fight on the side of the good. Number two sorceresses are evil. A baby has been born that carries sorcerer and witch blood. The evil sorceress wants the baby for herself so she sends a magically blinded woman named Alayne to bring the baby to her. While going to the baby Alayne meet up Laird Callum Roberts, chieftain of the Roberts clan who takes her to the baby because his sister is the one who had the baby. Alayne and Callum fall in love. Will Callum forgive Alayne when she has to steal the baby or else her sister will pay a heavy toll?

This is a stand-alone book in a series and if the other ones that came before are like this one Ms. Armstrong has a wonderful stories going on in her series.
